The IAFP is holding their 2^nd Annual Run/ Walk for Wellness on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at Raccoon River Park in West Des Moines at 7:00 a.m. The theme of this years run is “Run with Your Doctor”.

Goals of the run walk:

•  Develop wellness projects within community medical practices
• Develop measurement models to determine the progress of these projects on the prevalence of obesity and other related diseases
• Partner with other state and local organizations attempting to do the same
• Establish programs and support that will assist physicians to empower their patients to obtain wellness goals and maintain them

What we need you to do!

 The IAFP would like to get our physicians and their staff & patients involved in this exciting wellness activity.  The IAFP staff has put together a Wellness Packet for your office. The packet includes:

• A small poster for your office to display promoting this activity
• A form for your patients to complete and return to your office, a detachable section to send on to the IAFP or other methods to track patients who participated from your office. Katie will work with each office on the best method for your & your staff.
• Information about how your patients/staff can order a t-shirt promoting wellness and/or make a donation to the foundation
